Event: DAUGHTERS NIGHT OUT BENEFIT FOR FRIENDS OF ST. ANNE'S GIRLS SCHOOL
About: Take your daughters (or granddaughters, sisters, nieces!) for a Third Friday evening out on the town in Historic Downtown Overland Park. Ten Thousand Villages Kansas City will be hosting a benefit shopping night for Friends of St. Anne's Girls School - Kapkemich, Kenya. We will explore the lives of girls in Kenya and create a statement of equality for all girls to share with the girls at St. Anne's. Sample fair trade coffee, tea and cocoa as well as comforting treats from Anna's Oven.

Organization: Ten Thousand Villages Kansas City and Friends of St. Anne's Girls School: Ten Thousand Villages mission is to create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships. The mission of Friends of St. Anne's Girls School is to work with the people of Kapkemich Kenya and the surrounding area to enhance education opportunities through building educational facilities, providing educational tools and granting scholarships.

Third annual fund-raiser gala to support St. Anne's Girls' School in Kapkemich, Kenya. Join us for a silent auction, excellent food, and great conversation. The goals for this year are to finish the science lab and help with the costs of installing a solar energy system. Eventually we want to help build an art and music classroom.
